Verse #199 of 220

Biblical encouragement image
Good morning, friends. As the first light of September 30, 2026, begins to stretch across the sky, I find myself turning to these gentle words from Psalm 70:4: "May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you..." There is something so comforting about starting the day with an invitation to seek and to find joy, even when the world feels heavy. Many of us wake up carrying quiet worries—the rising cost of groceries that makes dinner planning stressful, the uncertainty in our workplaces as industries shift, or the way news cycles seem to highlight division more than common ground. Some are navigating health challenges, caring for aging parents, or simply feeling the weight of loneliness in a busy season. It can feel like we are constantly looking for solid ground beneath our feet. Yet this verse reminds us that seeking God is not about having all the answers right away. It is about turning our attention, even in small ways, toward the One who holds everything. When we do, joy and gladness can begin to grow in places we least expect—during the morning commute, in a quick prayer over coffee, or while watching our children play. Rejoicing does not mean ignoring pain; it means remembering that hope is still present and active. Today, let us carry this verse with us like a quiet companion. If you are facing a difficult conversation at work, a health appointment, or simply the ordinary rush of getting everyone out the door, pause for a moment and remember you are not alone in your seeking. God meets us right where we are, turning ordinary moments into opportunities for gladness. May your day be marked by small sparks of joy as you look for Him. Rest in the promise that seeking leads to rejoicing, and may that truth bring warmth to every hour ahead. #FearNot220 #199of220 #Catholic
