Fear Not 220

Good morning, friends. As the first light of August 30, 2026, gently touches the sky, I find myself turning to a simple yet powerful promise from Scripture. In Joshua 10:8, the Lord tells His servant, "Do not fear them..." It is a direct word spoken in the middle of battle, when the odds looked overwhelming and the path ahead felt uncertain. We all carry our own versions of those battles today. Maybe it is the quiet worry about a loved one’s health, the pressure of rising costs that seem to squeeze every budget tighter, or the heavy headlines that scroll across our screens before we have even finished our first cup of coffee. Perhaps it is something more personal—an upcoming decision, a strained relationship, or simply the fear that we are not enough for what lies ahead. The beauty of this verse is how tenderly God meets us in those moments. He does not dismiss our fears or tell us to simply try harder. Instead, He reminds us that the outcome is already in His hands. The enemies Joshua faced were real and intimidating, yet God had already secured the victory. In the same way, the challenges we face this morning are not hidden from Him. He sees the full picture when we only see the next step. So let this verse settle into your heart as you begin the day. When anxiety rises about the future, remember that you are not walking alone. When the world feels loud and chaotic, there is still a steady voice saying, "Do not fear them." Trust does not mean the path will be easy, but it does mean we can move forward with hope rather than dread. Take a moment today to breathe deeply, offer your concerns to God in prayer, and step into the hours ahead with renewed courage.
