Fear Not 220

Good morning, dear friends, as we greet this new day on August 14, 2026. The quiet hours before the world fully awakens offer a gentle reminder that we are not alone in whatever uncertainties lie ahead. In 2 Samuel 9:7, King David speaks words that echo across the centuries: "Fear not..." He offers reassurance to Mephibosheth, extending kindness, restoring what was lost, and inviting him to the table. It is a tender picture of grace that reaches into broken places and brings unexpected hope. Many of us wake today carrying quiet fears about rising costs, health concerns for loved ones, or the steady hum of division in our communities and across the globe. These worries can feel heavy, yet the same invitation to lay them down remains open. God’s kindness does not wait for perfect circumstances; it meets us right where we are, often through small mercies like a kind word from a stranger or the strength to take one more step. Think of the ways restoration shows up in ordinary life—a relationship beginning to heal, a new opportunity after disappointment, or simply the peace that comes from remembering we belong at the table of grace. We do not have to earn that place. It is given freely, just as it was to Mephibosheth. So let this morning be an invitation to release what you cannot control and receive the courage to face today with open hands.
