Fear Not 220

The verse for today reminds us: "Fear not, O worm Jacob..." from Isaiah 41:14. It is a tender address from God to people who often felt small, overlooked, and powerless in a vast world. We all know those seasons when life makes us feel like that worm—tiny, easily stepped over, and unsure how we will make it through another day. Perhaps you woke up already thinking about bills that seem too high, news headlines that stir worry about the future, or a personal challenge at work or in your family that leaves you wondering if anyone truly sees your effort. In moments like these, the world can feel loud and demanding, and our own strength can feel so very limited. Yet right in the middle of that smallness, God speaks directly. He does not scold or demand more; instead, He offers His own strong hand. The same Lord who formed the stars promises to help His people, even when they feel insignificant. This is not a distant promise for perfect days; it is an invitation for right now, in the middle of whatever you are carrying this morning. Think for a moment about the things weighing on your heart today. Maybe it is a relationship that needs healing, health concerns that keep returning, or simply the exhaustion of trying to keep everything together. God sees every detail. He knows the quiet fears we do not always voice. And He chooses to draw near, not because we have earned it, but because He is faithful. That help may arrive through a kind word from a friend, a sudden shift in circumstances, or simply the quiet strength to take one more step. So as you move through this day, let these words settle into your spirit. You are not too small for God's attention. You are not forgotten. Whatever feels heavy, bring it to Him in the simple trust that He is your helper.
