Fear Not 220

Yet today we hold close the words of Deuteronomy 3:22: "Fear them not, for the LORD your God will fight for you." Spoken long ago to a people facing real and daunting obstacles, these words reach across time to touch the very situations we meet now. From economic pressures that affect daily budgets to health worries that keep us awake, or even the tension of global events that seem beyond our control, the promise remains steady and personal. Think for a moment about the battles that feel private yet heavy. The upcoming conversation that makes your heart race, the financial decision that carries weight for months ahead, or the simple exhaustion of balancing everything at once. In each of these moments the verse offers not a demand to be strong on our own, but an invitation to trust that we are supported by a power far greater than our fears. Current events can amplify that sense of unease. Stories of division, change, and challenge arrive daily, yet the same God who fought for His people then continues to move on behalf of those who place their hope in Him. This does not mean every difficulty disappears overnight; rather, it means we never walk through them without help, guidance, and unexpected strength. As you move through this morning, let the verse settle into your thoughts. Release the grip of worry one small step at a time. Choose kindness toward yourself and others, knowing that divine help is already at work. Small acts of courage today can grow into lasting peace when rooted in this truth.
